All members whose dues have been paid for the current year shall be considered members in good standing and shall be entitled to
- receive notices of WAC’s activities.
- vote at meetings or by online ballot.
- benefit from discounted registration fees at the International Conference on Copepoda (ICOC). The discount of registration fee exceeds the cost of membership.
- discounted rates for WAC publications such as Damkaer’s Copepodologist’s Cabinet Series.
- apply for sponsorship from WAC to organize scientific meetings, workshops and webinars that are relevant to the WAC objectives.
- enjoy a 10% publication fee discount at the WAC PeerJ publishing Hub (including awards for early career researchers). The PeerJ WAC Hub benefit exceeds the cost of membership.
- be nominated or nominate themselves for any office of the Executive Council.
WAC student members will also be entitled to
- apply for the Student Grant Program.
- reduced rates for IWOSC workshops and similar WAC co-sponsored events.
- participate in the student award competition for outstanding research presented during the ICOC (up to six for oral communications and up to five for poster presentations).
- have access to WAC’s topical webinars.
Other privileges of membership may be designated by the Executive Council.
