 Membership application

Any person interested in any aspect of the study of the Copepoda is eligible for membership in the WAC. An applicant for membership must be nominated by two active and/or founder members of the Association; those who have completed this application process and payed the WAC membership fee become Candidate Members. A list of Candidate Members will be presented to the membership by the Executive Council during each business meeting of the WAC, and Candidate members whose applications are ratified by a quorum of the business meeting then become Active Members. If you are interested in becoming a member of the WAC, write to the General Secretary (E. Suarez-Morales) for an application form and other information. You can also download the application form (in PDF format). You need Adobe Acrobat Viewer to open the form. Click here to download the free version of the program.

Dues

Dues are payable by Founder, Active, and Candidate Members. Members who have difficulty paying dues may apply to the President and the Executive Council for a waiver or reduction (Art. 10 of the By-laws).

Dues were set at US $20.00 by approval of the quorum of the business meeting at the Sixth International Congress, July-August 1996, held at Oldenburg, Germany. Dues may be paid  years in advance. WAC accepts personal checks issued in local currencies, made payable to WAC. Checks should be sent by mail to the Treasurer of WAC (see details in the application form).
