William (Bill) T. Peterson (1942–2017)

Bill Peterson, a long-time WAC member, died at his home in Newport, Oregon, USA, on 12 August 2017 after a long battle with cancer.


 

Bill had a long and distinguished career, and was considered an inspiring supervisor and mentor to a large group of students, postdoctoral investigators and other early career professionals. Two tributes, free access, to Bill have been published so far:
